Where the WILD Things Are.

I just wanted to state my excitement over two things that are both wild...

The first is Ciara ft. Justin Timberlake's new video for "Love, Sex, Magic." The video is excellent, epitomizing sex appeal and funk. Not to mention the collaboration is HOT! So...if you dare to get wild.....ccccccccheck it below!

On another WILD note...One of my FAVORITE books as a kid "Where the Wild Things Are" has been made into a movie, and THIS is your EXCLUSIVE premiere of the preview before it the theatrical trailer hits theaters this weekend....Get Wild!

A compilation of looks I intend on sporting in the future. All very fashion forward, chic, and modern. I think that sums me up. Oh, and JayJ, is that you over on the left??!!

The Cinch Belt- a touch questionable, but if I look at it long enough, it grows on me.

Metallic Blue- enough said.

Overall- RAD.

Taking all of my Energy

Next Tuesday, the Queen of Collaborations- Keri Hilson debuts her first solo album. For those who don't know much about Keri, she is a protege of mega-producer, Timbaland. She was featured on several of my favorite tracks of his, "Scream" and the infamous "The Way I Are." Keri was also on a good jam on Diddy's album called "After Love." After much anticipation and the album release date being pushed back, we can finally see who Keri is as a solo artisit.

The album entitled "In a Perfect World" was slated to be released in October, however complications arose causing major delays. Unfortunately, I think this was a hit on Keri. She released her first single "Energy" almost a year ago. Since then has released a few tracks such as "Return the Favor" with Timbaland, which is a decent, catchy song. Her saving grace has been the hit track "Turnin Me On" ft. Lil Wayne. Anything Lil Wayne touched turns to gold, and this song did! I have to admit, though the song has been old to me for a while, whenever I hear it my ears tell me to listen. She flows so fluidly, and the lyrics are infectious.

I think Ms. Hilson's forte tends to be beat laden collaborations with in demand artists (i.e. Diddy, Timbaland, Keyshia Cole, Justin Timberlake, just to name a few). Buzz worthy tracks include "Set Your Money Up" ft. Keyshia Cole and Trina, a fast paced jam calling out all the men of the club that all the flashy things aren't impressing unless they "get their money up." Again, joining forces with Kanye West and Ne-Yo, the most likely released fourth single "Knock You Down" is good, especially with the help of Ne-Yo's buttery voice. A song about that one person that you love so much, it knocks you down. When you're sprung, this is your jam! "How Does it Feel" is kind of like a rough version of Beyonce's "If I Were a Boy," turning the tables on the man, and standing up for yourself. Lastly, "Change Me" ft. Akon is a good song they sing,

Why must I, decide on,
whether I love you or the world
you met me you fell deeply in love
with me so what is the problem now
everything you loved before you dont love no more.

Overall, Keri brings a strong debut with several potential hits!

ccccccheck it out!

For Your Viewing Pleasure: Turning Me On

All.I.Ever.Wanted

Tomorrow marks the debut of American Idol alum, Kelly Clarkson's fourth studio album. Kelly Clarkson has been the most successful American Idol winner, in my opinion, of all Idol history. A very close second is country star Carrie Underwood. Clarkson's new album, entitled "All I Ever Wanted" is complete redemption from her critically insulted 2007 release, "My December."

Not since "Breakaway" has she gained so much momentum for an album. I mean her latest single, "My Life Would Suck Without You" skyrocketed on the charts, breaking several records. "All I Ever Wanted" wreaks of smash hits. A few noteworthy tracks include: "I Want You," in which she throws in a 50's vibe on the track with modern beats and a hint of British songstress Duffy. "Ready" is an airy track in which Clarkson boasts, "I'm ready now...come get me." The title track "All I Ever Wanted" is one of Clarkson's rock laden tracks with a catchy chorus. A stand out track has been "Don't Let Me Stop You," a track that is similar to her hit "Behind These Hazel Eyes."

Overall, this is an excellent album for Season 1 Idol winner. She reverts back to what she knows best and what will sell. I recommend the album to those who have a spot for pop music and those who want to throw something new into their repertoire.

Also releasing tomorrow- 3/10
The-Dream: Love vs. Money
J. Holiday: Round 2 (who can forget the single "Bed"??)
Rocco Deluca and Burden: Mercy
Yeah Yeah Yeahs: It's Blitz!
Bishop Allen: Grrr...

Under Construction...

As this is my first blog, it consequently is taking me some time to make everything perfect. Who knew creating a blog would be so extensive! It took ages to pick an "untaken" domain name and a creative blog title. Lo and behold, I think a did a decent job of creating both that state who I am and what I'm about. With that said, I want to share my knowledge of all things music, movies, fashion, etc. I want to share about artists I think are worth listening to, films that have caught my attention and things that are worth appreciating. So stay tuned for the new.now.and next..........
